Description

A drawing I did in photography class with ~brunonade, we had to do a cover for our photography folders, she did a horse of coarse and I did dragons of coarse :D The name is because my mother said it looked like alpha and omega, and I thought that would be a better name than 'dragons' =P So this was my second day of year 12, and I'm really enjoying myself so far, although we probably haven't started the real work yet, oh well, my rate of art making will probably slow down a lot. Anyway, some things on the drawing itself, I don't like a few things, mainly the anatomy and the colour of the red one, I wanted him to be a nice blood red :( but my pencils decided it wasn't a good idea, but despite that I like it :D In other news my scanner still sucks

I think the anatomy is allright, just the belly of the front one maybe goes a bit too far up to the spine. And the end of its backpaws... there's something missing, I cannot describe quite what (I mean the front one).

But all in all I think the bodies look great and the movements too.

To the coloring with the red dragon, maybe you could try to work it over on the computer once it's scanned like photoshop or something.

And for the scanner: I hear ya, buddy.
I once was working with one that quality too. You can adjust some things by playing around with the scanning options (if possible) like ligthing and contrast. Also a lot of mistakes from scanning can be worked out by editing it afterwards as I said in a program. But I know this sometimes sounds easier than it does.

However, it is the idea that counts and not your scanner-quality. And that's what this picture is totally worth in for.

The dragons are very muscular and appear a bit more wolf-like which is a nice new and refreshing view. Also the idea of giving one wings and the other one not is a nice touch. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
